Four pictures from our day yesterday...

Some background: Everyday this week, we have had a different devotional related to Easter. After the devotional, we hang a picture depicting the event. On Wednesday night, we talked about Jesus' washing of the disciples' feet after the Last Supper, and how it was an act of service to those he loved.

Fast forward to yesterday morning: The kids and I left the house bright and early so we could go visit with my cousin Shannon and her family, who were passing through town. The house was in quite a state of disarray when we left (and Brendon was still there getting ready for work).

          

This is what we came home to after our visit. A super clean house and the dishwasher running, with this picture and note on it from Brendon, wishing us a Happy Easter and expressing his love for us. (And some homemade cookies to boot!) I'm telling you...a keeper for sure, that one!

Later that afternoon, we went back to Nana's house. Shayne has been trying to save his pennies to buy a Sonic the Hedgehog shirt he desperately needs, so Nana and Papa had him come over for a "big job" to help him earn the last of the money. He was so excited and worked hard raking leaves in their backyard:

      

While he did that, Gracie played ball with Nana:
